Our summer project this year was to get a new floor. The original carpet was an off white color but showed every speck of dirt. It needed to be replaced. The lament that was put in the house popped when you walked on it. We are replacing all carpet and lament areas. I thought this would be completed in the month of June but nothing was easy. Shannon and I moved all the furniture (which was not easy for me). We worked as a team to remove the flooring in all rooms. The lament was put in first.
Out with the old.
Here is the new floor.
We decided to put it in the hall where there is a lot of traffic to the bathroom.
The floor looks so good under the fireplace rocks. Unfortunately, the mortar broke loose and now the bottom part of the fireplace has to be redone. We are waiting on a call to see when they will be able to come and fix this.
The carpet was put in on July 3. It too looks great. Unfortunately, they did not order the correct amount and Jordan's room is not complete yet. We are being patient though.
Winston liked his carpet so much that he rubbed his head on it for too long. The results...carpet burn. What a nut!!! Shhhhh...he doesn't like to talk about it.
